“Trapped” - Acrylic on Circle Canvas, 50 cm

This painting was inspired by those years we will not name. The world was divided, even amongst friends, and the world was fed fear and hate on a daily basis. It was a time when it wasn’t just a physical entrapment but a psychological one. This painting represents those feelings, the need to escape, to get to my grandmother’s bedside as she lost her fight to Alzheimer’s, to her funeral, to be with family when they needed each other. Wanting to scream, cry, or rage in a time that no one would hear you, and no one could save you from an invisible prison that was tearing people apart. Instead, I painted.
